BENTONITE # 34 INFORMATION

A finely powdered, odorless and tasteless hydrous Silicate of Alumina, insoluble in water, swelling to about eight times its weight when water is added. It is often used as a suspending agent, in the manufacture of cosmetics, soaps, polishes, paints and adhesives. It is also widely used as a filtering agent in well drilling.

BENTONITE # 40 INFORMATION

This natural sodium bentonite is a hydrous silicate of alumina made up mostly of montmorillonite. This clay swells several times its own volume when water is added. The #40 is granular and often used in sealing and lining applications that involve wet soils. It is also used in conditions that need to minimize dust particles.

BENTONITE E-GROUT INFORMATION

e-GROUT™ provides a durable, very low resistivity, low permeability backfill material for electrical grounding installations. Its pumpable and flowable consistency ensures complete fill in grounding rod holes or grounding grid trenches. This ensures secure electrical continuity between the entire surface of the grounding medium and the earth. After placement, e-GROUT™ assumes a caulk-like consistency having a hydraulic conductivity of 1×10-9 cm/sec or lower with electrical resistance values less than 80 ohm/cm.

BENTONITE PAPER MAKING SLURRY INFORMATION

This slurry is specially designed for papermaking on modern, high speed machines. It is made using high swelling sodium Bentonite in a single component suspension of anionic nano-particles. Its chemistry is controlled by its very large surface area. Its physical properties can be controlled in the papermaking process. The P-Slurry is typically used in conjunction with starch as an aid in retention and drainage applications.

Increased paper uniformity and dry strength.
Simple, single addition rather than balancing multiple additions.
Linearly scaleable performance.
Compatible current papermaking techniques.
Reduces or eliminates high priced polymers.
